Tuesday, 19 May 2009 19:00
WASHINGTON ? Today in Washington, U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) proposed relocating Guantanamo Bay detainees in Colorado. According to Feinstein:
?We have the facilities to keep convicted terrorists behind bars indefinitely? One example is the SuperMax facility in Florence, Colorado.?
TO WATCH SENATOR FEINSTEIN, VISIT:
?Colorado?s Senators Michael Bennet and Mark Udall should speak out immediately and explain to their constituents whether or not they support their fellow Democrat Senator?s proposal to relocate Guantanamo Bay detainees to Colorado,? said National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) spokeswoman Amber Wilkerson.
?As the junior Senator in Colorado, Bennet has ducked on every important issue he?s faced since his appointment, including card check and the relocation of Gitmo detainees. Now is the time for Senator Bennet to tell Coloradoans ? will he support Dianne Feinstein?s proposal to bring the Guantanamo Bay detainees to his state for possible indefinite detention, or will he finally stand up to the Democrats in Washington and renounce this proposal??
