Petition-header1

In a nationally-televised, primetime press conference Wednesday evening at the White House, President Obama was asked about a recent incident in which the Cambridge Police arrested Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. on charges of disorderly conduct. Despite acknowledging the obvious – that he was not there and certainly did not know all the facts – President Obama condemned the Cambridge Police Department and charged that the officer in question “acted stupidly.”

Now setting aside that as the President admitted, only those who were there at the time know all the facts at this point, the key question is this – Do you think it’s appropriate for our nation’s Commander in Chief to stand before a national audience and criticize the men and women in law enforcement who put their lives on the line every day, when by his own admission, he doesn’t even know all the facts?
