Washington, D.C. – Catherine Cortez Masto and her allies know that she is arguably the most vulnerable Democrat in the Senate, and they are acting like it.
Today, the Cortez Masto campaign released two television ads. One regarding opioids and another on fire safety.
The problem is, Cortez Masto took votes that run totally against both messages:
- Last year, Cortez Masto voted against $300 million for border agents to prevent opioids from pouring over our Southern Border.
- Also last year, Cortez Masto voted against $600 million in post-fire restoration activities.
Everyone knows that on most issues like inflation, gas prices, crime, and border security, Cortez Masto’s voting record is in lockstep with Joe Biden. But, as it turns out, her voting record on even more issues is wrought with troubles.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “The reason Catherine Cortez Masto will lose in November is because of the votes she has taken as a Senator and her lack of major accomplishments for Nevada. No amount of cheap attacks or misleading ads will change that.”
