Washington, D.C. – Today, Senate Democrats voted unanimously against Senator Roger Marshall’s measure that would protect patients with certain cancers, Alzheimer’s, and HIV from higher drug prices and reduced innovation.
Senate Democrats say they want to lower the cost of prescription drugs. But they just voted against protecting patients from higher drug prices. In fact, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said the Democrats’ bill “will result in higher launch prices for future drugs.”
Democrats are all talk and no action when it comes to lowering drug prices. They showed their true colors by voting against Senator Marshall’s measure.
