Crime Rates Increased In Braddock Under Fetterman, Despite His Claims Otherwise
Washington, D.C. – John Fetterman’s campaign continues to say that “John knows how to stop crime, because he’s actually done it.” They are referring to the time when Fetterman was mayor of Braddock (2006-2018). But, that couldn’t be further from the truth. He’s never actually stopped crime. In fact, crime SKYROCKETED in Braddock when he was mayor. And, in 2019, the first year in over a decade that Fetterman was not mayor, Braddock’s crime rate dropped by 61 percent.
Just take a look at these graphs from the FBI below:
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “John Fetterman is now on defense when talking about crime, and rightfully so. He is a dangerous liberal who is soft-on-crime and makes false statements about his past. He claims to be successful in reducing crime as mayor but just take a look at the numbers. Skyrocketing crime rates doesn’t look very successful to us (or to Pennsylvanians who have to live with it). We will continue to highlight Fetterman’s radical stances on crime and Pennsylvanians will reject them soon at the ballot box.”
