Washington, D.C. – Democrats are publicly worrying about Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes’ chances of winning the U.S. Senate seat in Wisconsin. Apparently the “attack ads are taking a toll.” Wisconsin voters are learning the truth about the dangerous Democrat and the Democrat Party is now scrambling.
According to The New York Times:
Democrats in Wisconsin are wringing their hands about how Mr. Barnes’s political fortunes have sagged under the weight of the Republican advertising blitz. Grumbling about his campaign tactics and the help he is receiving from national Democrats, they worry that he could be one of several of the party’s Senate candidates whose struggles to parry a withering G.O.P. onslaught could sink their candidacies and cost Democrats control of the chamber.
Other Wisconsin Democrats have voiced their frustrations to NBC.
It’s gotten so bad that Democratic operatives ponder moving resources from Wisconsin to North Carolina, as David Catanese points out.
Ouch.
Talk about Bad News Barnes.
