Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, Maggie Hassan spoke to Seacoast Current and left us with a thought on inflation, food, and fuel:
“With the costs of food and energy skyrocketing, Democrat Sen. Maggie Hassan’s goal is for people to not have to make the choice between food and fuel.
‘Inflation is a real problem for people. It is draining families, it is draining the small businesses I’m talking with. And we have to help people in the short term with their costs, including and particularly the cost of energy right now, as well as deal with the long-term drivers of inflation,’ Hassan said.”
A fine statement if not utterly disjointed from her voting record or reckless spending, but:
- Maggie Hassan votes with Joe Biden 97% of the time.
- Maggie Hassan has voted for trillions in wasteful spending at a time when our economy was already overheated.
- Maggie Hassan has scuttled pipelines, blocked drilling, and is hostile to fracking. She has of the most anti-American energy voting records in the U.S. Senate.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Maggie Hassan’s complaints about high prices is beyond rich given her voting record. One look at her votes on spending and energy development clearly shows that she, along with Joe Biden, is to blame for much of the pain Granite Staters are feeling right now. Assertions to the contrary are detached from reality. Maggie Hassan may be content with misleading voters about her record, but General Bolduc will continue to tell people the truth and fight for a better future in New Hampshire.”
