Retread” Ted Strickland will head back to Washington today to attend a high-dollar fundraiser hosted by his old DC lobbyist friends.

But, face-time with the failed Congressman and Governor turned Senate-candidate isn’t available to just anyone. Tickets for the event start at $500 and range to $2,700.

As Strickland collects cash from his old friends, he’ll surely be reminiscing of simpler times when he served as the president of the liberal CAP Action Fund, a role he called his “dream job.”

It’s no wonder Strickland wants to get out of Ohio. Yesterday a new ad released by the Portman campaign uncovered Strickland’s terrible record on higher education. Meanwhile, the Fighting for Ohio Fund is attacking Strickland for being a Washington insider, as he’s proving today with his high-dollar lobbyist fundraiser.
