Following the release of a leaked recording in which Sherrod Brown equated Israel with Hamas and said he didn’t trust Israel to abide by a ceasefire, the Israeli government responded by blasting Brown’s comments.
Israeli government spokesperson Raquel Karamson said Brown’s comments were “unfortunate” and went on to note that “every ceasefire in the last few years has been broken by Hamas,” and that Israel “has always adhered to every ceasefire.”
“Behind closed doors, Sherrod Brown is an anti-Israel radical who’s all too happy to fall in line behind Chuck Schumer as he undermines one of our closest allies abroad. Ohioans can’t trust Sherrod Brown to stand up to far left Democrat extremism.” — NRSC Spokesman Philip Letsou
