“Retread” Ted Strickland released his National Security plan today and absent from it is his position on the Guantanamo Bay detention facility…an issue Strickland has been ignoring for months.

More than two months ago, on February 23rd, President Obama laid out his plan to shut the facility down and move dangerous terrorists to the United States. Despite this important national security issue dominating the news cycle, Strickland hasn’t said whether he will support the dangerous plan or endorse the commonsense bipartisan legislation against it.

Ted Strickland has proven before that he’s no expert on keeping Americans safe – In August, Strickland came out in support of the Iran Deal and when asked at a Cleveland Plain Dealer editorial board meeting about foreign policy, Strickland responded with, “a bunch of canned answers.”

Ohioans deserve to know: Does Ted Strickland support President Obama’s plan to close Guantanamo Bay?
