As “Retread” Ted Strickland tries to recover from the seemingly endless criticism of his candidacy, he’s having a hard time explaining his way out of the dishonesty surrounding his position on gun control.

A new cartoon and accompanying editorial hits Retread Ted for his pandering and changing position this morning:

Strickland’s phony makeover on gun-control

Northeast Ohio Media Group | Jeff Darcy

U.S. Senate candidate Ted Strickland has been sporting a different look – new glasses, new hair color and a new position on gun-control. The latter turns out to be as phony as his changing hair color.

Last week Strickland reiterated his already discredited claim that he changed his anti-gun-control position as a result of the Sandy Hook school massacre and recent mass shootings.

As detailed in Larkin’s column, during a 2015 Columbus radio interview, Strickland can be heard denying his anti-gun-control position had changed…

That radio interview was conducted two years after Sandy Hook occurred, which Strickland said changed his views on opposing gun-control.

As Brent points out, Strickland’s now shooting out of both sides of his mouth because President Obama and Hillary Clinton have been making strident calls for common-sense gun laws.

Polls are already giving Hillary low marks for honesty. Having Strickland hanging on her coattails will not help.
