Sittenfeld’s candidacy has received growing attention in recent weeks for his indefatigable campaign style, continued challenging of Strickland’s gun record, and support from media for a primary debate. In addition, just yesterday it was reported that a Sittenfeld-backing super PAC has raised more than $730K.

But Sittenfeld won’t quit. In case you missed it – Sittenfeld’s campaign sent out an appeal to supporters, calling out Retread Ted for dismissing debates as a distraction and waste of time:

Whether it’s in the Democratic primary against Sittenfeld or against Rob Portman in November, voters will be reminded that while Ted Strickland was Governor, Ohio lost 350,000 jobs. Retread Ted Strickland was fired from elected office, and for good reason.
