In fact, National Journal reports that many Senate Democrats are running the other way:

Everyone in Washington is talking about Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal e-mail account during her four years as secretary of State and her homebrew computer server. Everyone, that is, except for many Senate Democrats … some Washington Senate Democrats are remaining silent for the moment, saying they’ve been too busy with the week’s packed schedule to be fully briefed on the crisis du jour.

CNN describes how liberal senators like Elizabeth Warren are going to great lengths to distance themselves from Hillary:

When CNN tried to ask Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who some liberals are hoping will challenge Clinton for the 2016 nomination, a staffer shielded her and deliberately blocked the senator from answering.

Warren climbed into an elevator without looking up.

According to conventional wisdom, Hillary’s presidential run was going to help Democratic senators get elected. In reality, Democratic senators are running away from her latest controversy.

National Journal explains why this controversy could prove very damaging to Clinton’s presidential hopes:

The Clinton controversy highlights a major vulnerability that has plagued the Clinton family before. As Hillary Clinton attempts to rebrand herself and gear up for a retooled 2016 campaign, Republicans will continue to paint her as a political machine, a politician so overtly concerned about her rise to the Oval Office that she was willing to safeguard every correspondence to protect her public persona.

So far, Clinton has only offered a short Tweet in response to this entire scandal.
