Dems to hardworking Americans: The taxing and spending will continue until morale improves.
The Biden Administration is worried about inflation, but not for the reason you’d think. A recent report says the White House’s change of tone on inflation has nothing to do with concern for rising consumer prices. Rather, it is because Joe Biden’s poll numbers are slipping.
From Bloomberg:
“Biden’s efforts to address the issue also show the extent to which inflation — an economic phenomenon that barely registered in American politics for 40 years — represents a vulnerability in the 2022 midterm elections. Worries are increasingly showing: consumer sentiment was weaker than all economists’ forecasts in early July as Americans factored in a higher cost of living. And the president’s own approval rating has been slipping, this month hitting its lowest in Gallup surveys since he took office.
White House aides insist the rhetorical shift does not reflect any substantive shift in their view of inflation.”
As the Biden Administration does their inflation dance, Democrats in Congress have a different message: Inflation doesn’t matter. Consumer prices are rising at a record-breaking pace and Democrats in Washington don’t seem to mind. Their policies caused consumer prices to rise, and their solution is a reckless $3.5 (really $5) trillion reckless tax and spending spree.
One thing is clear: Joe Biden and Senate Democrats have no plans to curb the rising prices that hit hardworking Americans directly in their pocketbooks. They would rather focus on passing their reckless multi trillion-dollar tax and spending spree that would undoubtedly cause prices to surge even higher. Even after Americans’ optimism about the country’s direction dropped nearly 20 points since May, Democrats STILL insist on jamming through their radical spending plan. As the old saying goes: “The beatings will continue until morale improves.”
Do Senate Democrats like Mark Kelly, Raphael Warnock, Catherine Cortez Masto, Maggie Hassan, and Michael Bennet agree that rising consumer prices don’t matter?
