Border Crossings Reached a Twenty-Year High in July
Washington, D.C – The Biden Administration and their Democrat allies in the Senate have jumped through hoops to ignore the obvious and growing crisis along the Southern Border. And as Punchbowl News wrote this morning, “The Biden administration has never gotten a grip on this issue since Biden was sworn in.”
In July, border crossings reached the highest level in twenty years, leading some within the administration to start sounding the alarm on what Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas called an “unprecedented” crisis. But Mayorkas didn’t stop there. During a trip to the Southern Border, Mayorkas admitted that the border crisis is “unsustainable.”
Instead of voting to fuel Biden’s Border Crisis and sneaking amnesty without border security into their reckless tax and spending spree, it is time for Senate Democrats to join Republican efforts to end this “unprecedented” and “unsustainable” crisis.
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Katharine Cooksey: “Democrats have a failing record when it comes to securing the border and keeping American families safe. Their open borders and amnesty-without-border-security policies are exactly why today’s border crisis exists.”
