Washington, D.C. – Maggie Hassan’s poll numbers continue to go from bad to worse. According to a new poll from St. Anselm College, Sen. Maggie Hassan trails potential challenger Gov. Chris Sununu by 8 points. This is a 2-point decline for Hassan since St. Anselm’s last poll of the race.
Making matters worse, Hassan’s approval remains underwater, with 44% of Granite Staters approving of the job she has done and 48% disapproving of her job in office.
Without question, President Joe Biden helped make matters worse. The poll found President Biden’s approval rating underwater by a whopping 11% – with 55% of Granite Staters disapproving of his job performance.
Notably, this poll was conducted BEFORE the deadly suicide bombings in Afghanistan that underscored the folly in our haphazard withdrawal and rapid surrender to the Taliban.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “New Hampshire voters are fed up with Democrat-run Washington and they are holding Maggie Hassan responsible. Her 100% voting record with President Biden is further complicating matters in the aftermath of the Afghanistan fiasco. With 15 months to go until Election Day, there is no light on the horizon for Sen. Hassan. It’s clear that Granite Staters are ready for a change.”
