Washington, D.C. – Senator Maggie Hassan is in deep, deep trouble – and the Republican field isn’t even settled yet.
Her job approval is underwater, she is polling in the low 40s against potential rivals, and according to a new poll from liberal New Data for Progress: “Younger voters were far less likely to say they approved of Sen. Maggie Hassan’s job performance.”
Yikes!
That probably explains why Hassan’s campaign spent over a million dollars more than she raised in the 4th Quarter! Spending more than you bring in is bad practice in life and in politics. Hassan better pray for a sign of light from somewhere in Washington because no donor likes to write big checks when all hope is lost.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Maggie Hassan’s campaign is already panic spending, and she doesn’t even have a Republican opponent yet. Spending over a million dollars more than you raised means one thing: Hassan knows her prospects are bleak. We are sure donors and outside groups are paying attention, and not running for their checkbooks. Tick Tock, Senator…”
