“I’m really jogging my brain here.”

Washington, D.C. – Senate hopeful and Wisconsin’s Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes loves to talk about his leadership position on the Governor’s Task Force on Climate Change while on the campaign trail. Yet, it appears he has zero accomplishments to name.

At an event this week, Barnes touted his position on this task force (like normal) and the task force’s 55 policy recommendations. However, when asked if any have been implemented, he was stumped! His answer: “I’m really, really jogging my brain here.”

That’s awkward.

Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “Mandela Barnes loves to tout his ‘good work’ for the state of Wisconsin but doesn’t have any accomplishments to show for it. Sounds like he’s just all talk, but that’s old news. This time around he was called out for it and didn’t know how to recover. Wisconsinites need someone who delivers results, not someone who constantly blows smoke.”
