Washington, D.C. – Democrats are getting concerned about why Hispanic voters are moving away from their party like never before, but the reasons are very clear. Hispanic voters care about real issues like the economy, school choice, and safe communities while Democrats care more about their radical agenda that’s leaving working-class families behind. Republicans continue to show up for Hispanic communities across the country and the results are speaking for themselves.

Here is what they are saying about Democrats’ problem with Hispanic voters:

  • WSJ: The survey also found Republicans making gains among minority groups. By 9 percentage points, Hispanic voters in the new poll said they would back a Republican candidate for Congress over a Democrat. The two parties had been tied among Hispanic voters in the Journal’s survey in November.
  • AxiosBut Democrats have been losing ground among these voters in recent elections because the party hasn’t been paying enough attention to them.
    • Democrats talk about climate change, but dismiss the fact that many Latinos work in lucrative oilfield jobs in New Mexico and West Texas.
    • Democrats talk about diversity. But by pleasing white progressives, they push out moderate Hispanic candidates.
    • Democrats target Latinos by talking about immigration. But polls show immigration ranks 5th or 6th among the issues most important to these voters. The economy is usually the top concern.
  • CNN: So, compared with 2020, Biden is doing worse with Hispanics relative to how he is doing with voters overall.
  • Breitbart: The findings could be detrimental politically long-term for Democrats if these trends stick, as Democrats generally need close to or greater than 90 percent of black voters and a much stronger performance among Hispanic voters to build a majority coalition and win elections.
  • Newsmax: Hispanic and Latino voters make up a growing portion of the electorate, and Republicans have successfully attracted more and more of them during the past several elections. And their shift toward the right has to do with more than just support for former President Donald Trump.
