Washington, D.C. – Gas prices are out of control in New Hampshire and around the country.
Maggie Hassan, who has one of the most anti-American energy voting records in the Senate, has been trying to gaslight voters with a gimmick gas tax holiday. Which is funny, of course, because she personally profits from the oil and gas companies – it’s a win-win for her!
But this week, when confronted with a straightforward question of whether or not she supports expanding American energy production, Hassan walked away. Take a look:
At a time when the average gas price in New Hampshire is $4.24 – higher than the national average – and America is not 100% energy independent, how could Hassan simply refuse to support the solution?
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Maggie Hassan is one of the most anti-American energy members of the U.S. Senate. She would abolish fossil fuels tomorrow if she could, with no plans to bridge the gap in energy demand. Pain at the pump will be prolonged because of legislators like Hassan, and Granite Staters will make the representational change in November.”
