Washington, D.C. – Catherine Cortez Masto sure has changed a lot over the years – especially from last year to this year. Throughout her career and especially in 2021, Catherine Cortez Masto voted with Joe Biden and the radical left to fuel an ever-worsening border crisis and to destroy domestic energy production. Down in the polls to a potential Republican challenger, Cortez Masto is attempting to sprint back to the center to cover up her far-left voting record.
2022 Catherine Cortez Masto Regrets Fueling the Biden Border Crisis:
- In 2021, Cortez Masto voted to end Title 42.
- In 2021, Cortez Masto voted to send taxpayer-funded stimulus checks to illegal immigrants.
- In 2021, Cortez Masto voted to defund border security programs.
- In 2021, Cortez Masto voted to fund sanctuary cities and voted against prioritizing the arrest of illegal immigrants charged with violent crimes.
- But in 2022, Cortez Masto is criticizing the Biden Administration’s decision to end Title 42, even though she voted to end it in 2021 and urged the prior administration to end Title 42 in 2020.
2022 Catherine Cortez Masto Wishes She Hadn’t Caused Nevada Gas Prices to be the Second Highest in the Nation:
- In 2021, Cortez Masto voted three times against legislation to prohibit a ban on fracking.
- In 2021, Cortez Masto voted four times against advancing the Keystone XL Pipeline, killing roughly 11,000 good-paying jobs in the process.
- In 2021, Cortez Masto supported legislation to index the federal gas tax to inflation.
- In 2021, Cortez Masto voted to limit oil and gas leasing in the U.S., fulfilling a promise to limit U.S. production she laid out in a 2020 op-ed.
- But in 2022 with Nevada gas prices the second highest in the nation, Cortez Masto teamed up with fellow vulnerable Senate Democrats to support a gas tax holiday gimmick, even though it would not save Nevadans a penny.
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Katharine Cooksey: “Nevadans won’t soon forget how Catherine Cortez Masto helped cause a border crisis and made every day goods like gas, groceries, rent, and utilities completely unaffordable. Masto cares more about her far-left, D.C. pals than she does about showing up for Nevadans.”
