On the 12th day of Christmas, my election gave to me:
12 years of Ted Strickland in the House
12 years in the House of Representatives is a long time. However, it feels even longer if you’re not doing anything. During his 12 years, he missed 360 roll call votes and none of his 66 bills were passed. This an interesting record to stake your Senate run on.
On the 11th day of Christmas, my election gave to me:
11 Months to the Election
With 11 months to the election, the NRSC is ready to hold its majority in 2016. We know it won’t be easy, but we’re confident we have what it takes.
On the 10th day of Christmas, my election gave to me:
’10 Senate Candidates
The last time these incumbents were elected was 2010, and their experience and dedication to constituents will help them get re-elected in 2016.
On the 9th day of Christmas, my election gave to me:
9 2014 Pick-Ups
In 2014, Republicans picked up 9 seats, giving them control of the Senate. We’re using this momentum in 2016, and we’ve learned from our mistakes to run our best campaigns yet.
On the 8th day of Christmas, my election gave to me:
8 Years of Harry Reid
Before 2014, Americans had put up with 8 years of Harry Reid and his failed leadership. Within the first year of taking over, Republicans have been able to turn things around – working hard and passing bills. We need to continue this trend and hold the majority in 2016 to keep this up.
On the 7th day of Christmas, my election gave to me:
7 Republican Debates Left
With so many debates, Republicans have been able to put their best policies out there for voters to hear, and we still have 7 more to go!
On the 6th day of Christmas, my election gave to me:
6 Open Seats
2016 offers 6 open seats. Three Democrats and three Republicans will be retiring. We’ve got good candidates to protect our Republican seats and strong contenders to flip the Democrats’ seats.
On the 5th day of Christmas, my election gave to me:
5 Feingold Senate Runs
After Wisconsinites fired Feingold in 2010, Feingold thought he’d give it another shot, but not before teaching at a California college first! This go around, Politifact gave him a full flop on his campaign contributions stance. Once the godfather of campaign finance, Russ Feingold accepts all checks and a majority of checks have been from out of state – something he pledged he would never do.
On the 4th day of Christmas, my election gave to me:
4 Republican Senators Ran for President in 2015
Our Republican senators have such strong resumes that 4 are currently running for president. We’re grateful to have these qualified leaders in the Senate.
On the 3rd day of Christmas, my election gave to me:
3 Mascot Costumes
We are the proud owner of 3 mascot costumes. We have a Stanford tree to highlight Feingold’s teaching gig in California, a tire costume for Retread Ted, and a panda for Jason Kander – the Pandering Panda.
On the 2nd day of Christmas, my election gave to me:
2 Million Jobs Lost Under ObamaCare
The Senate voted to repeal Obama’s keynote legislation for reasons such as this. ObamaCare exchanges have collapsed and forced many to change their healthcare provider. On top of this, it will cost 2 million jobs. Democrats will have to answer for their ObamaCare support in 2016.
On the 1st day of Christmas, my election gave to me:
1 Senate Republican Majority
At this time in 2016, we will be able to say we have held our Senate Republican Majority. Voters will send a message supporting the conservative reforms we’ve made, and they want to continue this for years to come.
