In July, the Republican-led Senate added to a growing list of accomplishments for the American people by passing the historic Comprehensive Addiction & Recovery Act – "Congress’s first-ever attempt to address the rapidly escalating public health crisis," and a pro-security FAA extension bill to close airport security gaps – "the most significant airport security bill to pass Congress in a decade."
As you’ll see below, the NRSC and our candidates were just as busy this month on the campaign trail.
From a TV ad in Pennsylvania to a Snapchat filter in North Carolina, I’m proud to share with you some of the new content that our team released this month.
Following Katie McGinty’s shameful decision to insult Senator Pat Toomey with an expletive, the NRSC swiftly released "Role Models" – a TV and digital ad campaign exposing how her profanity was deemed disqualifying by Clinton. The ad ran in Philadelphia surrounding McGinty’s national debut on stage at the Democratic National Convention.

Meanwhile, McGinty’s underwhelming prime-time address at the DNC was panned as painful. So, we made the speech a bit more watchable with a little censorship of our own.

"Just Like Hillary," a new web video, highlights the many flaws that Democrat Senate candidates share with their toxic standard-bearer. Hillary Clinton’s record of failed policies, lies, and scandals has finally found its match in the DSCC’s hand-picked candidates.

"Abandoned" exposes Evan Bayh’s status as a Washington insider who left Indiana to cash in on his political career. After casting the deciding vote to pass ObamaCare, Bayh comfortably settled into the role of an insider with two multi-million dollar homes in DC and another in Key Biscayne, Florida.
[youtube url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPP0X6Xa2As")
The NRSC also launched LifeOfPrivilegedPatrick.com – a new website targeting the luxury lifestyle and fictional credentials of boy prince Privileged Patrick Murphy.
With over 100 million daily active users – including 41% of all 18-to-34 year olds in the country, the NRSC recognizes the explosive growth of Snapchat.
As Politico noted in its must-read report this month, we’re all-in on the platform.
Check out the NRSC’s latest geofilter, which informed North Carolina voters about Radical Deborah Ross’ defense of burning the American flag:
Finally, from Senator Rob Portman’s volunteer rally with Speaker Newt Gingrich and Senator Joni Ernst to Senator Marco Rubio’s grassroots kickoff, check out some of our candidates’ top Instagram photos from the past month:
@kelly4nh: Rain or shine, #RunWithKelly!
@senpattoomey: Senate softball tonight against @senjohnthune’s team. My son, Duncan, got a hit!

With 98 days to go until we hold our Senate majority, I’m grateful more than ever for all that you do.

The Washington Free Beacon also reported that "only 38% of Coloradans think Bennet deserves reelection."
In a scathing rebuke of the extreme carelessness with which Hillary Clinton handled highly classified information, The Gazette’s Editorial Board also slammed her close ally Senator Bennet, whom Americans will support if they want "more corruption of our national security, and systems designed to ensure accountability…"
Florida
The Tampa Bay Times revealed that Patrick Murphy shamefully "sought delay in algae relief news so he could announce at press conference."
Check out the coverage Murphy received after he was caught attempting to delay news about algae relief for his own political gain:

- Sun Sentinel: "In the nine days following his announcement that he’d run for re-election after all, Rubio raised $2.1 million, his campaign announced Friday. That works out to just under $10,200 an hour."
National Journal‘s Andrea Drusch explained on CSPAN‘s coverage of the 2016 Republican National Convention that after Floridians learned his career was built on lies, Privileged Patrick’s campaign is now in a "tailspin."
Privileged Patrick’s stock took a nosedive in Roll Call‘s Senate challenger rankings after CBS Miami exposed his falsified resume.

Just before the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism launched its 4th missile test since signing the Obama/Duckworth nuclear deal, The Washington Free Beacon reported on Senator Kirk’s efforts to tighten sanctions on Iran.
Crain’s reported that the state’s ObamaCare co-op became the latest to shut down "amid big financial losses."
Indiana
Evan Bayh’s multi-million dollar homes and revolving door career help comprise his Politico Playbook "oppo cheat sheet."
The Wall Street Journal reported that Freedom Partners Action Fund launched a new TV and digital ad on Bayh’s payday at a bank that got millions in the bailout cash he voted for.
Politico Pro reported that Todd Young’s six-figure TV ad buy highlights the contrast between his Marine background and Bayh’s career as a super lobbyist.
The NRSC’s Kevin McLaughlin and Cavalry’s Josh Holmes joined Sidewire‘s "Stitch" to discuss corporate lobbyist Bayh’s entry into the Senate race – and his reentry in the state after living in Washington.
As he gets "touchy" and "defensive" when reporters note that he lives in DC, Politico Playbook reported that Bayh had to offer to sing the Indiana University fight song to prove that he’s a Hoosier.
The Journal Gazette reported that after Democrat voters already selected their nominee, Bayh was "lured by top bosses" and fellow DC insiders like Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, and Harry Reid.
- The Statehouse File: "Why would he return now? Well, perhaps because an old friend, Hillary Clinton, asked him to come back…"
As the South Bend Tribune added, Bayh answered the call from party bosses to run for Senate to "help an old ally…Hillary Clinton."
Manu Raju explained on CNN‘s "Inside Politics" that Bayh "has a lot of baggage" from spending "a lot of time in Washington with corporate interests since he left his job as a United States Senator." Raju, citing Democrat sources, also revealed that Bayh "seemed to be angling or at least gauging whether he’d be picked as Hillary Clinton’s running mate."
Roll Call‘s Jonathan Allen warned voters not to "Bayh" what the corporate lobbyist says about his comeback attempt as his "whole campaign is predicated on a lie."
Politico Pro‘s Morning Score reported that Young’s new digital ad targets Bayh’s deciding vote for ObamaCare and his decision to become the very thing he despised most: a lobbyist.

An Indianapolis Business Journal editorial explained that Bayh will have to answer for his "cashing in" as a DC lobbyist.
A must-read The Weekly Standard column asked: "Where Does Evan Bayh Really Live?"
Missouri
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that with his $2.3 million second quarter haul, Roy Blunt outraised Jason Kander.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch also reported that Senator Blunt’s statewide radio ads spotlight the contrast between his common-sense values and Kander’s liberal support for cap and trade, amnesty, and ObamaCare.
The Missouri Times reported that Kander still "continues to support Clinton after FBI investigation."
KZRG reported that Senator Blunt met with Missouri Southern State University students and faculty regarding his efforts to fund year-round Pell Grants.

Cortez Masto wouldn’t say this month whether she would rule out using a private email server if elected to federal office.
KTNV-TV reported that Dr. Heck’s lead over Cortez Masto grew to nearly double digits in its poll with Rasmussen Reports.
Politico Pro reported that an additional poll conducted by Monmouth University also shows Dr. Heck leading Cortez Masto.
