Senator Elizabeth Warren’s most recent polling is definitely cause for concern for one of Capitol Hill’s most extreme lawmakers. Sen. Warren has built her career on being one of the most liberal members of her party. However, a new poll shows only 44% of Massachusetts believes Sen. Warren should be re-elected. The president of the polling group, Steve Koczela, said of the dismal number:
“No one’s going to look at a 44 percent reelect number and think that that’s a good number.”
To make matter’s worse, when looking at Sen. Warren’s numbers compared to Republican Governor Charlie Baker’s numbers:
“His favorability rating is 59 percent — 8 points better than Warren. But what’s more striking is that only 29 percent of poll respondents think someone else should get a chance at the governor’s office.”
Sen. Warren will be running on the same ticket as Gov. Baker, which will only draw more to her partisan ways and unwillingness to compromise. Koczela pointed out just how much her partisanship hurts her:
“When you look at Elizabeth Warren’s favorables, only 12 percent of Republicans have a favorable view of her,” Koczela said. “When you look at Baker, 60 percent of Democrats view him favorably. So he has bipartisan appeal where Elizabeth Warren really never has.”
Sen. Warren has largely alienated a significant portion of Massachusetts — and could be paying for it big-time in 2018. Help us get ultra-liberal partisans out of the Senate by pitching in today:
