The NRSC proudly announced today that Daniel Huey and Chelsea Hawker will serve as the committee’s Independent Expenditure Director and Independent Expenditure Deputy Director, respectively, for the 2016 election cycle. Both Huey and Hawker will assume their new roles after serving the NRSC as senior staffers.

Daniel Huey is currently a Senior Advisor at the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC). During the 2014 election cycle, Daniel was part of the team that took back the Senate Majority as the Deputy Director of the NRSC IE unit. Prior to that he was the Deputy Political Director of the Republican Governors Association where he developed and implemented the paid media and polling plans. Daniel is from Canton, Georgia.
Chelsea Hawker currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC). Hawker joined the NRSC in 2013 as Deputy Political Director for the 2014 election cycle where she helped achieve the Republican majority in the US Senate. Prior to her time at the NRSC, Hawker served as Deputy to the Romney For President Liaison and Senior Advisor, Ward Baker, at the Republican National Committee – managing the $100 million paid voter contact effort across 12 battleground states. Hawker has also previously worked for Majority Strategies, a Republican direct mail firm, and as a Regional Field Director for North Carolina Victory during the 2008 Presidential election. Hawker is from Jacksonville, Florida.
