Politico reported Obama spoke at a G-7 Summit and stated:
“We don’t yet have a complete strategy.”
This sounds eerily similar to 10 months ago – when he said:
“We don’t have a strategy yet.”
Obama has had 10 months, yet he still does not have a plan to protect our nation against ISIS.
According to The Hill, Senator John McCain, who is the Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman, expressed his frustration with the Obama administration’s lack of direction on the Senate floor:
“I’d like to see the incomplete strategy. I’d like to see something.”
Senator Tom Cotton released a statement highlighting one of the most disturbing aspects of Obama’s statement:
"A soldier learns one must always have a plan for battle, it’s troubling that our Commander-in-Chief doesn’t follow that same logic."
Obama lacks a plan for the situation at hand despite being our Commander-in-Chief.
Senator Lindsey Graham echoed Senator McCain and Senator Cotton’s concerns releasing a statement saying:
“It’s long past time we upped our game to confront this dangerous and growing threat to the American homeland.”
Action against ISIS has bipartisan support as Obama seems unconcerned about this serious issue of national security. Roll Call reported:
The bipartisan Senate duo of Tim Kaine, D-Va., and Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., are making a bid to amend the State Department authorization – scheduled to be considered Tuesday afternoon by the Foreign Relations Committee – with language to authorize the use of force against the Islamic State terror group, also known as ISIS or ISIL.
While Obama still has yet to even develop a plan to protect Americans from ISIS, our Republican-led Senate is taking measures to actively combat the extremist group.
