Oscar season is here, and the Academy is ready to award the top actors and actresses to grace the big screen this past year.
The Oscar hopefuls were all nominated because they were able to transform themselves into another character. It’s shocking that some of the red state Senate Democrats didn’t get an Oscar nod for their phony political performances.
Three 2018 Senate Democrats stand out among the rest for their ability to play the role of a real life Senator when, in actuality, they have done little to nothing in that role. So, without further adieu…
The nominees are…
Senator Joe Donnelly
Since Sen. Donnelly arrived on the scene in Washington, DC back in 2007, he has passed a total of zero bills. However, he has done a magnificent job pretending to work for Hoosiers. That being said, none of his work has reached the popularity of his star role, Mexico Joe, in the hit feature, Outsourcing Hypocrite. Check out the trailer:

Senator Debbie Stabenow
Sen. Stabenow has truly earned her spot on the list of nominees. Most of her work has been as a supporting actress, putting her name on 28 bills that someone else worked on, but she still works hard as a lead actress when visiting Michigan to pretend like she’s achieved something.
She’s been in the DC business since 1997, so she’s had a lot of time to perfect her act as an accomplished senator. However, many say her work has been going downhill, and voters are starting to see through her charade.
Senator Joe Manchin
Sen. Manchin has recently been known for his public breakdowns, asking senators to stop campaigning against each other – just in time for his own election! He’s also been claiming “Washington sucks,” but that’s because he keeps voting the wrong way for West Virginia.
Sen. Manchin acts like he’s been busy up here in Washington, but his performance has not been holding up. The reviews are in, and it doesn’t seem like Sen. Manchin is going to run away with the Oscar this year. Watch Mike Pence’s review of Sen. Manchin’s performance:

Hollywood Stars
While Sen. Donnelly and Sen. Manchin may spend a lot of time on set in DC, they have also been boosting their cred in Hollywood. Sen. Donnelly and Sen. Manchin spent last week fundraising in Hollywood with Chuck Schumer and the CEO of Disney.
It makes sense that these out of touch Senators would thrive in the land of make believe!
