Will his appeal to Florida progressives be enough to get him through the Democratic primary?

Sunshine State News reports:

Last week, Susan Smith, the president of the [Florida Progressive] caucus, came out swinging against Trade Promotion Authority(TPA) and Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Smith said point blank that Democrats should not support candidates who back TPA and TPP in 2016.

In a desperate attempt to appeal Florida’s progressives after repeatedly being called "not liberal enough," Patrick Murphy took a stand…to the left of Obama.

Sunshine State News also notes

When U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla., breaks with President Barack Obama, he usually goes to the middle on issues like supporting the Keystone XL pipeline or calling for delaying parts of Obama’s federal health-care law.

But, with liberals looking for other U.S. Senate candidates in 2016, Murphy broke with Obama this week and moved to the left, opposing giving the White House "fast track" on Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) to approve the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

Will this be enough to earn Patrick Murphy the Democratic Senate nomination? Or will a more progressive Democrat like Alan Grayson take it away from him?
