Recently, Senator Russ Feingold claimed he had only spent a “small portion” of his life in politics. We wanted to set the record straight on what Feingold defines as a “small portion.”
As you can see, Russ began his political career back in 1983 as a state senator in Wisconsin. After he spent 10 years there, he moved on to the US Senate where he became a Washington Insider after 18 years in office. After his long tenure as a senator was over, he started his infamous “Progressives United PAC,” which he used as his personal slush fund, paying his own salary and his former staffers’ salaries. He then enjoyed an appointment from John Kerry in 2013, followed by his career as a Stanford professor, living in California.
Now, here he is again running for political office in Wisconsin. “Russ” can try to run from his record of career politician by dropping his title of “Senator,” but the truth is that Senator Feingold has been in politics nearly half of his life and is not planning on giving it up anytime soon.
