PennLive reported of Toomey:
Not only is Toomey well regarded by his Republican colleagues both here in Pennsylvania and nationally, but he also enjoys a solid working relationship with many Senate Democrats.
The same could not be said of Sestak:
Sestak’s bigger problem is that both national and state Democrats don’t like him either. His campaign style rankles Democratic leaders and his legendary poor treatment of employees and subordinates doesn’t sit well with many either.
The ‘likability’ factor looms large in any campaign. While Toomey burnishes his reputation as a consensus builder and common sense conservative, Sestak is forced to look over his shoulder as his fellow Democrats cast about in search of an alternative candidate.
Things are not going well for Joe Sestak. Looks like it’s going to be a long campaign for him.
