The NRSC is now calling on Ohio Democratic Senate candidate Ted Strickland to return his campaign donations from disgraced former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer:

“After returning disgraced Governor Eliot Spitzer’s [$10,000] donation in 2008, Ted Strickland is once again accepting his dollar bills,” said NRSC spokesman Jahan Wilcox.

“This change of heart is a matter of convenience for Ted Strickland as six years ago he saw donations from Spitzer as dirty money, but now he gladly accepts it. This memory loss should come as no surprise since he’s always done what’s most convenient for him, instead of what is best for families in Ohio.”

According to Cleveland.com:

One day after Strickland formally announced his candidacy, Eliot Spitzer, the former New York governor who resigned in a prostitution scandal, gave Strickland $5,400. Spitzer has been a political commentator and businessman since leaving office in 2008.

Strickland has also received campaign cash from another notorious shadowy liberal figure – George Soros.

Cleveland.com reports

Other contributions from the politically connected came later, including $5,400 from hedge fund mogul and liberal philanthropist George Soros on March 20.

Ted Strickland, the Ohio Democratic Party’s Senate candidate of choice, is going to have a tough time shaking off these ties to shady liberal donors.
