Yesterday the new director of the state ethics commission in Georgia announced that he would be issuing subpoenas for the bank and financial records of Stacey Abrams 2018 gubernatorial campaign. Last year ethics officials found evidence of several violations by the Abrams campaign, but then-ethics chief Stefan Ritter instructed his team to not pursue any further investigation. He has since resigned in scandal and his replacement has committed to see them through.
