Washington, D.C. – Cheri Beasley, Chuck Schumer’s hand-picked candidate in North Carolina, has only been in the U.S. Senate race for a couple of months and her campaign is already falling apart. It was reported yesterday that her Campaign Manager AND Finance Director quit.
Not good! And this isn’t even the first time this has happened for Beasley.
If Cheri Beasley can’t retain two of her top aides for more than a couple of months, this is going to be a very, very, very long (and losing) campaign.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “The wheels on Cheri Beasley’s bus are already falling off only weeks after launch! If battling it out with Jeff Jackson and Erica Smith has already caused so much friction that your top staffers leave, Beasley is in for a rude awakening if she survives a primary election. We don’t provide Democrats free advice at the NRSC, but Chuck Schumer may want to look harder for an alternative candidate.”
