Washington, D.C. – Failed presidential candidate Michael Bennet knows he is in trouble in November.
This winter, a shocking poll showed him losing to a generic Republican. Now, with gas prices skyrocketing to historic levels, rampant shortages in stores and life becoming much less affordable, the headwinds against President Biden and himself are stronger than ever. It’s a fact that led Bennet to admit that Colorado is still a swing state.
When asked if he would welcome President Biden on the campaign trail, Bennet punted by saying he hadn’t “thought about it at all.” Of course, no one believes that.
Even worse, Bennet conceded that some of his votes likely helped worsen inflation to all-time highs.
If Bennet is hoping to ride his low profile in the U.S. Senate to victory in Colorado, he is sorely mistaken. His 100% voting record with President Biden is proof positive that he owns every failure of this Administration.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “If Coloradans are upset with the Biden Agenda, and polling shows they very much are, then Bennet must go. With a 100% voting record with the President, Bennet has made no attempt to carve out an independent identity. He can express concern all he wants about the state of our economy, but it’s his votes that got us in this mess and it’ll be the votes of Coloradans that kick him out of the Senate.”
