Vermont socialist Bernie Sanders is headed to Wisconsin today to advocate for repealing the GOP tax relief that has helped countless Wisconsinites already. Will Tammy Baldwin join her far left-colleague in Green Bay today to call for the repeal of the GOP tax cuts?
Wisconsin’s Associated Bank announced plans to increase its starting hourly wages to $15 and give employees a $500 bonus. Hartland-based Town Bank joined the growing list of businesses doling out bonuses and pay raises to Wisconsinites. It’s clear the tax cuts have been massively successful in Wisconsin. But Baldwin, who voted against the plan, has refused to admit she was wrong to oppose the tax cuts. Bernie thinks that tax cuts are “one of the worst pieces of legislation in the modern history of our country.” So, does Baldwin agree?
“Now that radical Bernie Sanders is heading to town, Tammy Baldwin must choose between supporting hardworking Wisconsinites or her far-left colleagues,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “If Democrats are running on a platform of repealing the GOP tax cuts, Wisconsinites deserve to know why Baldwin thinks they don’t deserve pay raises and bonuses.”
