Beto O’Rourke is back in Texas today and all seven Democratic Senate candidates are joining him at his anti-Trump rally. Just a reminder, Beto’s taken a few new positions since he was last on the Texas ballot. The new Beto these Senate primary candidates are choosing to stand with today wants to:
- Revoke the tax-exempt status of any church or religious group that does not support same-sex marriage
- Confiscate firearms through a federally-mandated buyback of “assault weapons”
- Tear down physical barriers along the southern border
- Eliminate over one million jobs throughout the Texas economy with the Green New Deal
- Close 11-30 rural hospitals in Texas by enacting a “public option”
“By joining Beto O’Rourke today, these Senate Democratic candidates are endorsing every position he’s taken on the campaign trail from confiscating firearms of law-abiding Texans to revoking the tax-exempt status of churches and charities across the state,” said NRSC spokesperson Joanna Rodriguez. “Regardless of who emerges from this clown car primary, we look forward to reminding Texas voters about each of these liberal positions from now until next November.”
