Washington, D.C. – Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats are still desperately trying to find a path forward for their Corrupt Politicians Act (H.R.1 / S.1) because – as AOC and her fellow radical liberals have admitted – having D.C. control how every single state holds their elections is the Democrats’ only chance of winning.
Part of the Democrats’ strategy of corruption is to completely control how states hold elections as well as how elections are funded. Democrats want to use YOUR tax dollars to manipulate YOUR vote. Senate Democrats like Mark Kelly, Raphael Warnock, Catherine Cortez Masto, Maggie Hassan, and Michael Bennet want taxpayers to blindly fund their campaigns. American voters would no longer have a choice whether or not to contribute to a certain campaign – their hard-earned tax dollars would be sent straight to these radical Democrats to fund outrageous – and false – attack ads.
And we aren’t talking about a couple of hundred dollars here. No, the Corrupt Politicians Act would send MILLIONS to campaigns that aim to put Socialists in the Senate:
- In Arizona, Mark Kelly would be eligible for as much as $18.8 million.
- In Georgia, Raphael Warnock would be eligible for as much as $25.8 million.
- In New Hampshire, Maggie Hassan would be eligible for as much as $9 million.
- In Nevada, Catherine Cortez Masto would be eligible for as much as $11.8 million.
- In Colorado, Michael Bennet would be eligible for as much as $16 million.
Why should hardworking Americans be forced to send tens of millions of dollars to campaigns they do not support? Not surprisingly, recent NRSC polling found that 56% of Americans do not want their tax dollars funding Schumer’s liberal attack ads and padding the Democrats’ campaign coffers.
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Katharine Cooksey: “Democrats are so desperate to pass their Corrupt Politicians Act because they want to use hardworking taxpayer dollars to fund liberal attack ads. It’s disgusting that as the price of basic goods continues to climb, Senate Democrats are working around the clock to tax Americans into poverty all for their own political gain. Democrats should be embarrassed by this partisan power grab. Meanwhile, Senate Republicans are laser-focused on finding ways to help American families keep more of their hard-earned paychecks.”
