Washington, D.C. – A new SMP ad in Spanish shows Catherine Cortez Masto on television trying to convince voters that she’s fighting to lower costs. Why? Because she’s actually responsible for raising costs and her voting record proves it. No wonder she is one of the most vulnerable Democrats in the Senate.
Gas Prices
- In 2021, Cortez Masto voted four times against advancing the Keystone XL Pipeline, killing roughly 11,000 good-paying jobs in the process.
- Then, in 2022, with Nevada gas prices some of the highest in the nation, Cortez Masto supported a gas tax holiday gimmick, even though it would not save Nevadans a penny.
Inflation
- First, she won’t even mention the word inflation while Nevadans are struggling to pay for groceries, medication, and gas.
- Now, she wants to raise taxes in the new partisan spending bill that would raise taxes on the middle class.
Will SMP and Catherine Cortez Masto continue to tell Nevadans that she’s lowering costs when her voting record and actions in Washington tell a different story?
Statement from NRSC Hispanic Press Secretary, Juan Arias: “Cortez Masto’s voting record shows that she votes to support Biden’s radical agenda rather than to support the people she represents back home in Nevada.”
