UPS, Lowes and Hostess were the latest major companies to announce bonuses, pay raises and additional U.S. investments thanks to the GOP tax relief bill, and now people are starting to see the bigger paychecks Democrats have referred to as crumbs.
All of this good news comes in addition to reports that the U.S. economy is set to grow 5.4% in the first quarter, which is more than double the typical growth rate.
Despite the strengthening economy, Senate Democrats are planning to repeal the law. While most red state Democrats followed their liberal cohorts off the ill-advised Schumer Shutdown cliff, the question for them remains – will they push to repeal the law?
“It’s time for red state Democrats to let their constituents know if they want to repeal the tax relief law that is already benefitting hardworking Americans,” said NRSC Communications Director Katie Martin. “Company after company is doling out pay raises and bonuses, so folks deserve to know what’s red state Democrats’ beef with this law.”
