Washington, D.C. – Once again, Cheri Beasley is refusing to take a position on an issue.
Yesterday, while being interviewed by WRAL, Beasley was pressed on whether or not the government should cancel any student debt, and how much? Beasley, as she so often does, did not give a straight answer.
The anchor pressed Beasley on the matter, asking about congressional Democrats considering $50,000 worth of debt forgiveness and the Biden Administration considering only $10,000. Beasley again punted on both.
If you are sensing a pattern, it’s because there is one. From Afghanistan, to the filibuster, to “Build Back Broke,” Beasley has a storied history of refusing to take positions on tough issues before eventually folding to the left-wing of her party.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Cheri Beasley is Washington Democrats’ hand-picked candidate, and thus far has struggled to find her footing. North Carolinians aren’t going to buy non-answers for long, and it’s a big reason why national Democrat super PACs are withholding funding.”
