Washington, D.C. – Only 40% of Coloradans approve of the job that Joe Biden is doing as President. Yet, President Biden travels to Colorado today where he will be met by failed presidential candidate Senator Michael Bennet, who is one of his staunchest allies in the U.S. Senate, voting with Biden 98.1% of the time.
The visit could not come at a better time for Joe O’Dea as politicos across the nation wake up to the fact that the Colorado Senate race is one of the most competitive in the county.
Biden’s visit is not only a reminder of his close association with Bennet but it’s also a reminder of who is to blame for rising gas prices, inflation, and an energy policy that has hurt Colorado. Don’t take it from us, just listen to Bennet call himself “more progressive than Bernie Sanders” just three days ago.
As if it couldn’t get worse, Bennet is bleeding support among independents. We are sure they will love to see the pictures of Bennet and Biden arm in arm.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “Joe Biden’s policies have badly hurt Colorado, and there has been no bigger champion of Joe Biden’s agenda in the U.S. Senate than Michael Bennet. That’s why Joe Biden remains deeply unpopular in Colorado and Michael Bennet continues to lose support among independents. We greatly appreciate the President helping us out by reminding voters of his close association with failed presidential candidate Michael Bennet.”
