Washington, D.C. – This week’s decision by the courts to stop the Biden Administration’s decision to lift Title 42 is a big win for America’s national security.
But it’s a big loss for Val Demings who supported ending Title 42 and wants to allow terrorists, like the one arrested in Florida this week, into our country. A quick reminder on Val Demings’ record on Title 42:
In early April, U.S. Rep. Val Demings, D-Fla., told the Women’s National Democratic Club in Washington that she supports the president’s move to end Title 42. Demings is the favorite to win the Democratic nomination to challenge U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., in November.
That position surprised some Democrats who felt that a moderate approach is needed in a state like Florida.
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Priscilla Ivasco: “Val Demings’ support for the radical Left agenda – including ending Title 42 to allow a flood of illegal immigrants into the country – is threatening the security of the state she claims she cares about. Demings is sacrificing Floridians’ safety in order to stay in the good graces of D.C. Democrats and continue to receive their full support as she attempts to gain a promotion in November. But voters in Florida are the ones she will need supporting her, and just like she has turned her back on them, they will respond as such at the ballot box.”
