Washington, D.C. – Today, President Biden is polling at a “shockingly weak” 37%.  But inside the White House, it appears the Administration remains oblivious to the challenges Democrats face in the midterm elections.

The lack of concern prompted House Democrat leaders to go to the President directly and ask who is supposed to help them.  According to the Washington Post:

“The fact that the question needed to be asked at all, in a room filled with several of Biden’s top aides, spoke to the Democratic disorganization just nine months before elections that will shape the second half of Biden’s term.”

But the concern doesn’t stop with House members:

“Several Democratic operatives worry that the Biden White House focus on legislating in 2021 and preparing for the elections in 2024 has pushed the immediate election challenge to the back burner.

‘This is a White House issue,’ said one Democrat involved in midterm planning. ‘They are just waking up to the fact that the midterms are an issue.’”

Making matters worse, according to the piece, is the questionable leadership of failed senate candidate Jaime Harrison at the DNC.

Ouch!

Statement from NRSC Spokesman T.W. Arrighi: “The Democrats are so lost that, until recently, their leader had no plans to secure their majority. Worse yet, the White House still won’t listen to messaging advice that could save their most vulnerable members, especially in the Senate.  The sad truth is that the Democrats have no accomplishments to tout, and things are getting worse.  Making lemonade out of lemons is one thing, but Democrats are quickly trending toward a more and more brutal November.”
