Washington, D.C. – Joe Biden and Senate Democrats are preparing another handout to affluent Americans. Their plan to cancel student loans is a bailout for wealthy elites at the expense of middle-class Americans. It will cost hard-working Americans $230 billion and will make inflation even worse.
Joe Biden and Senate Democrats are thumbing their nose at Americans who made sacrifices to pay for their education or chose a different path other than college. Almost two-thirds of all student debt is owed by wealthy Americans. They’re forcing plumbers and pipefitters to pay for wealthy Americans’ education.
This reckless plan does nothing to address the real problem of skyrocketing education costs. In fact, experts say it will only make the problem worse by incentivizing more Americans to take out student loans with the expectation that they won’t have to pay them back.
Democrats are the party of the elite. They’re bailing out their rich friends and sticking working-class Americans with the bill. Working families will continue to suffer as long as the party of the elite is in charge.
