Washington, D.C. – Democrats are renewing their push to lift the cap on state and local tax deductions (SALT) in their multi trillion-dollar spending spree. This, of course, is nothing more than a tax cut for millionaires and billionaires in Schumer’s New York and Pelosi’s California.
Record inflation is squeezing hardworking middle-class Americans across the country, but all Democrats are focused on is cutting taxes for the rich. And Senate hopefuls like Val Demings, Conor Lamb, and Tim Ryan are fully on board. They already voted for this billionaire tax cut once and they’ll do it again. Why? Because they vote however Nancy Pelosi tells them to vote.
Statement from NRSC Spokesman Jonathan Turcotte: “Val Demings, Conor Lamb, and Tim Ryan have done more for New York and California than they’ve done for their own states. Their support for repealing the SALT cap is a slap in the face to the struggling middle-class Americans that they represent. Instead of cutting taxes for the rich, they should be focused on fixing the record inflation that they caused. But they’re too weak to stand up to Nancy Pelosi. They clearly aren’t ready for a promotion to the U.S. Senate.”
