Washington, D.C. – A question we never thought we’d have to ask…
But after the First Lady’s speech yesterday, it’s worth asking: Do Senate Democrats, like Raphael Warnock, Mark Kelly, Maggie Hassan, Catherine Cortez Masto, Michael Bennet and Patty Murray, agree with the Biden Administration’s characterization of Hispanic voters?
After speeches like that, The New York Times and Siena College poll released yesterday makes a little more sense. Joe Biden’s approval rating among Hispanics is at a staggeringly low 12% and there’s no sign of that improving. This is a major blow to the Democrats’ hopes of retaining the Senate majority after the midterm elections.
They are completely out of touch with the Hispanic community, which cares about the real issues impacting their families not the Democrats’ woke ideology.
Statement from NRSC Hispanic Press Secretary Juan Arias: “The real question The New York Times should be asking is: Do Hispanics like being compared to breakfast tacos? The reality is that Joe Biden and the Democrats completely lost Hispanic voters well before we were compared to tacos. Families want a good economy, a good education for their children and safe communities. Instead, the Democrats turn to racist and discriminatory stereotypes to try and connect with the voting bloc that will deliver a huge win for Republicans in November.”
