Feingold’s PAC – in a rare disbursement that did not directly benefit former staffers or himself, also contributed $6,000 to Sanders. Considering the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s bombshell report revealing that the PAC "has given a mere 5% of its income to federal candidates and political parties," the contribution is telling.
Senator Feingold’s support for Bernie Sanders contrasts with his rocky history with Hillary Clinton. Back in his ‘Mr. Clean’ days – before he was exposed as a campaign finance hypocrite, the Associated Press described a heated argument between Feingold and Clinton as a "shouting match":
