Tennesseans got more great news because of Republican tax relief with Tennessee-based McKee Foods Corp. doling out $1,000 bonuses to full time employees.
The maker of delicious snacks like donut sticks, honey buns and Little Debbie cupcakes is the latest in a string of Tennessee companies investing in their workforce as a result of the tax cuts. But not everyone in Tennessee is happy with the wage increases, employee investments and bigger paychecks that are happening because of Republican tax relief. Democrat Senate candidate Phil Bredesen has said he’s opposed to the tax cuts and Senate Democrats have pledged to repeal the economic benefits helping Tennessee families. Voters should be wondering why Bredesen would side with Washington liberals instead of doing what’s best for folks at home.
“Phil Bredesen’s opposition to GOP tax relief shows Tennessee voters can expect him to back Chuck Schumer and Washington Democrats’ radical plans to take away their tax cuts,” said NRSC Spokesman Michael McAdams. “With middle-class Tennesseans across the state finally getting the financial relief they need and deserve, the last thing they can afford is Chuck Schumer’s handpicked candidate heading to Washington intent on taxing them more.”
