Bill Nelson’s barely-there campaign was hit with a double whammy this morning.
First, a pro-Scott Super PAC went up on the air with a brutal $3.5 million ad buy attacking Bill Nelson’s long career of accomplishing nothing for Floridians. The same Super PAC hit Bill Nelson back in May with a $2.4 million buy. And don’t forget, the Governor’s campaign has already run nine ads since entering the race.
Piling on top of that, a new Politico/AARP poll shows that Governor Rick Scott is leading Bill Nelson by 9-points among older Floridians, who make up the majority of voters in the Sunshine State.
What a way to start the week!
“Bill Nelson is having a rough start to his week and it won’t get easier from here as more and more Floridians learn about his lousy political career,” said Camille Gallo NRSC Spokesperson. “With five months left till November, voters are already showing they want a Senator who works for them, not a do-nothing politician like Bill Nelson.”
