Left-Wing Candidates Shy Away From “P-word”
Washington, D.C. – In modern politics, being a “progressive” is considered being radically far-Left. Members of Congress like AOC, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are known these days as being “progressives” or as The Hill calls it, “the P-word.” And record shows that Bernie Bro John Fetterman fits right in with that bunch, but he seeks to distance himself from that label. Why? He knows it’s an easy way to lose in Pennsylvania.
But, as we’ve always said, actions speak louder than words. Let’s take a look at Fetterman’s progressive, far-Left record:
- He’s soft on crime.
- He constantly tries to position himself to the Left of Joe Biden.
- He signed the “No Fossil Fuel Pledge.”
- He’s acknowledged that he wants to ban fracking.
- He wants to eliminate the filibuster to help force a radical agenda on Americans.
- He endorsed Bernie Sanders in 2016 and Bernie Sanders supported him in 2018.
- He rejects common-sense voter ID.
The list keeps going, but as you can see, Fetterman is just as liberal and progressive as the rest of them.
Statement from NRSC Spokeswoman Lizzie Litzow: “Fetterman fears just how far Left he really is. Why? Because it’s a one-way ticket home. But he can’t change the past and won’t become any less liberal anytime soon. Fetterman can try all he wants to hide from the ‘P-word,’ but Pennsylvanians will still reject him at the ballot box.”
